       A military veteran of nearly a decade with a bachelor’ degree in English and experience in leadership, teamwork and critical thinking performing tasks requiring research and technical understanding. For three years I was serving as diplomatic security in U.S. embassies employing defensive tactics and cultivating skills to work with a wide variety of people of various cultural and language backgrounds. I have the tools necessary to promote good order and cooperation within a large and diverse community.

        As a Marine leader I was managing training profiles, creating lesson plans to address deficiencies and leading workshops to ensure quality and proficiency. I have experience managing teams and utilizing resource analysis and planning to ensure the task is accomplished in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible.

       With experience as part of a marketing and advertising program to promote embassy security recruitment I'm familiar with working with a team to develop effective campaigns to sell opportunity to prospective clients. clients. I continued to build these skills at L.A.K.E. Enterprises, where  I performed direct customer acquisition and account management for Fortune 500 clients as well as participated in high-level management training.

       I’ve conducted resource analysis, planning of training and military related events and managing teams in the completion of various tasks. Completed literacy and English focused courses which assisted in the development of analysis, diversity, critical thinking, and written and oral communication skills with additional relevant courses in Cultural Diversity, Interpersonal Communication, Principles of Sociology and Introduction to Psychology.

Throughout my education and career, I cultivated highly developed communication skills honed as I worked alongside the international community. I utilized these skills to create effective cooperation between diverse groups of individuals on multifaceted operations and projects. May, 2011: Completed a training course for Maritime Security Awareness as part of my employment for Goldbelt Security and for qualifying to provide security services for cruise ships making port.

 

May, 2012: Completed a Facility Security Officer Course as a requirement for my employment as a Security Officer for Goldbelt Security in accordance with training requirements of the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code and Code of Federal Regulations Title 33.

 

June, 2014: Completed Marine Combat Training where we received instruction on the common skills needed in combat. Learned the basics of combat marksmanship, counter-improvised explosive device techniques, how to conduct the defense of a position, convoy operations, combat formations, fire team assaults, patrolling, land navigation, and the use of hand grenades, the M203 grenade launcher, M249 Squad Automatic Weapon, and M240 machine gun. Training also includes combat conditioning by running an obstacle course, conducting marches, physical training, and Marine Corps Martial Arts.

 

November, 2014: Received a Letter of Appreciation for volunteer services supporting the Kadena Special Olympics and the 900 participating athletes while serving in Combat Assault Battalion, III Marine Expeditionary Force, 3rd Marine Division Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan.

 

January, 2015: Awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for volunteering to aid the setup and execution of a youth sport event while serving in Combat Assault Battalion, III Marine Expeditionary Force, 3rd Marine Division Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan.

 

March, 2015: Received a Letter of Appreciation for volunteering to support “The Commissary on Wheels” event with setup and execution which provided food for a population of 300 Marines and Sailors while serving in Combat Assault Battalion, III Marine Expeditionary Force, 3rd Marine Division Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan.

 

March, 2016: Received a Letter of Appreciation for volunteer services provided for the city of Pohang, South Korea where our team participated in cleanup efforts to remove waste from the Naengchon River while serving in Combat Assault Battalion, III Marine Expeditionary Force, 3rd Marine Division Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan.

 

December, 2016: Completed 13 week Marine Security Guard Training where I received response training which included tactics, techniques, and procedures required to prepare for and respond to man-made and natural disasters. Completed the Department of Sate specialized training in use of firearms, defensive tactics, technical and physical security equipment, emergency first aid, fire response, improvised explosive detection and destruction of classified material. Granted a Top Secret security clearance as a requirement for the position.

 

January, 2017: Awarded the Good Conduct Medal for completing three consecutive years of honorable and faithful service. First Award.

 

May, 2017: Completed the Staff Non-commissioned Officer Academy Corporal Course.

 

February, 2018: Completed requirement to be rewarded a Brown Belt in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program. Previous awarded belts were Tan, Grey and Green.

 

April, 2018: Received a Letter of Appreciation for volunteer services provided for the Fredericksburg Earth Day Festival where I aided with setup, directing parking, execution of various tasks and retrograde while serving in Marine Corps Embassy Security Group Home, Recruiting, Advertising, & Screening Team, Quantico, Virginia.

 

June, 2018: Awarded a Certificate of Commendation for exceptional performance of duties while serving as Marine Security Guard in the U.S. Embassy in Khartoum Sudan. Unit Award.

 

March, 2019: Completed the requirements to qualify for trade certification from the Department of Labor for Protective Service Specialist. This journeyman-level trade focuses on personnel who perform, plan, coordinate, and execute protective service missions for designated individuals in high-risk billets that are identified as potential targets of terrorism. These protective service specialists conduct protective service tactics, anti-ambush operations, counter-surveillance operations, evasive driving techniques, and physical security.

 

January, 2020: Awarded the Good Conduct Medal for completing three consecutive years of honorable and faithful service. Second Award.

 

March, 2021: Completed the Sergeant School Seminar Program.

 

July, 2019: Completed coursework required for my Associate's degree with focus in Creative Writing from National University.

 

August, 2020: Completed the Lean Sigma Six Yellow Belt Course. The Lean Six Sigma training helps in validating professionals who are skilled in identifying risks, errors, or defects in a business process and removing them.

 

September, 2021: Awarded the Armed Forces Service Medal for contributions towards COVID-19 relief efforts for Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni while serving in Marine Wing Support Squadron 171, Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing.

 

June, 2022: Completed the Marine Corps Reconnaissance, Survey and Decontamination Course. The main function of the training is chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear hazard prediction and defense. After completing the training, Marines are certified to gather information from a contaminated site and pass their findings on to a subject matter expert.
